The Steinhart Ocean 3 GMT Ceramic is the new series that joins the much recognized Ocean 1 and 2  divers, especially the aforementioned GMT Ceramic series. Made in Switzerland and powered by a Swiss Made Sellita SW330-2 Elaboré automatic movement, this watch is set to amaze. Unique and elegant.

Steinhart Ocean 3 GMT Blue/Grey Ceramic

The Steinhart Ocean 3 GMT 42 Blue- Grey Ceramic is made to the highest of Swiss standard. The case of the Steinhart Ocean 3 is made from 316L stainless steel. Features a satin brushed finish on the top of the lugs and polished sides of the case. This finishing follows through the stainless steel bracelet. The 42mm case has a, 12mm height, and 49mm lug-to-lug dimensions making this quite comfortable on most wrist sizes.

The bezel on the Ocean GMT is a classic diver design yet in a unique colourway. The Ocean GMT has a new upgraded blue/grey bezel done in ceramic which is not commonly known by watch collectors. The new ceramic bezel has numbers and markers that are all engraved to give it depth. The cavities are then filled in white enamel to match the theme with a luminous pip at the 12 o'clock position. The engraved bezel makes the numbers and markers visible under all lighting conditions. With a luminous pip at the 12 o'clock position. The knurling on the side of the bezel is deep and clean. This helps in getting a good grip on the bezel for easy bezel operation. The 120 clicks bezel clicks positively into position.

Two-tone Ceramic Bezel

The slimmer looking Steinhart signed screw-down crown is located at 3 O'clock and is good for a water resistant rating of 100m. The Ocean One comes with a domed sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating for added clarity under different lighting conditions. The dial on the Ocean 3 GMT is in matching dark blue with applied markers. SuperLuminova luminous is applied to the markers, minute, “snowflake” hour and second hands.

The Steinhart Ocean One GMT comes with a satin brushed stainless steel bracelet with screw links and fliplock. Unique to the Ocean One is of course the new 22mm bracelet which tapers to 18mm. Makes the 42mm model look much more refined and elegant.

Overall, the Steinhart Ocean 3 GMT 42 Ceramic exhibits a new design with great value. For the price, you get a Swiss Made watch with an SW330-2, Elaboré movement, a full 316L stainless steel 100m GMT diver watch with SEL bracelet and an overall well finished sturdy watch. This was before not achievable until Steinhart arrived and also probably the reason why Steinhart has quite a huge following although only been around for only 15 years.
